Stitchable's Publishing feature lets you take a video you built in Stitchable's timeline editor and send it straight to your own social accounts — Bluesky, Instagram, Reddit, TikTok, X, and YouTube today — without leaving the app. It's a "bring your own app" model: you register a small developer app with each platform yourself (a one-time, few-minutes step per platform), Stitchable connects through it, and your access tokens are stored in your own OS keychain, never on a server Stitchable operates.
Every platform connection follows the same shape in Stitchable's connect wizard:
- Open the connect wizard from the Publishing page.
- Pick the platform you want to connect.
- The first time only, paste in that platform's developer app credentials (Client ID / Client secret) — each guide below shows you exactly where to find these.
- Click Sign in with <Platform>. A real browser window opens to the platform's own sign-in page — you log in and approve access there, not inside Stitchable.
- The wizard finishes automatically the moment you approve. No copying-and-pasting an authorization code.
Bluesky is the one exception to steps 3–5: it needs no developer app or browser sign-in at all, just an app password you generate once.
The same wizard also handles refreshing a connection: if a platform's session expires or is revoked (shown in Stitchable as needs reauth), reopen the wizard, pick that same platform, and go through Sign in with <Platform> again — this replaces the expired session without losing your existing posts or history.
Connect a platform
- Bluesky — no developer app needed, just an app password.
- Instagram — the most involved setup; a Meta Business app, a linked Facebook Page, and a media relay.
- Reddit — self-serve, instant, text and image posts only (no video yet).
- TikTok — Sandbox vs. Production credentials are easy to mix up; read this one carefully.
- X (Twitter) — OAuth 2.0 with PKCE, Read and Write app permissions.
- YouTube — Google Cloud Console, and you must add yourself as a test user.
